WHAT WE TEACH

Three disciplines

One studio.

A person drawing a portrait of a young boy with dark hair, on paper, surrounded by writing, rocks, and pens.
A woman sculpting a large clay sculpture of a human head and hand.
Close-up of a palette knife spreading light blue paint on a canvas that already has red and blue paint. The words 'O2 Paint' are written on the canvas.

Not sure where
to begin?

Every entry point at Calabash Studio is designed to give you a real experience of the studio before you commit to something longer.

All Materials

Every medium, every tool — included in the cost of your program from day one. Tutoring Hours are the only exception.

Honest Critique

Individual critique is built into every session — not as an add-on, but as a core part of how we teach at Calabash Studio.

Structured Curriculum

Every session is sequenced with intention. Progress is designed, not accidental. You will always know where you are going.

Portfolio Work

Everything you make is portfolio-eligible. You leave every program with real work that represents your growth.

Note on Tutor Hours: Materials are not included in Tutor Hours sessions. Tutor Hours are private one-on-one instruction sessions priced at $30 per session or $100 for a four session package. Students are responsible for bringing their own materials or arranging with Menyelek in advance.

OUR PHILOSOPHY

Every great artist needs roots before they can bear fruit.

The talent was always here. The structured support just wasn't. Calabash Studio was built to change that — to give serious artists in Grand Bahama access to the kind of rigorous, intentional arts education that builds real careers and real portfolios.

We focus on art elements and fundamentals. We hold our students to a high standard. And we believe that honest critique, delivered with care, is one of the most powerful tools an artist can receive.
